Financial Planning Services

Our Investment Advisor Representatives offer financial planning services to clients. These consist of personal and financial data gathering, assistance in defining objectives and risk tolerances, analyses of the data collected and preparation and presentation of a written financial plan of action designed to assist the client in attaining financial goals. If a client does not desire, or if a client's situation does not warrant a financial plan, they may agree to perform an analysis of a specific area of concern. In addition a client may engage us to provide a periodic review and update of the client's financial plan.

Fees are based upon the time required to complete a client's plan and, therefore, the total fee to be charged will depend upon the number and complexity of the client's assets and objectives. The fee schedule may be quoted either on a fixed fee or an hourly basis. The client is quoted a fee or a fee range at the first interview based upon the information provided by the client regarding his/her financial position. Fees are negotiable, and, in all cases, we will quote a total fee to the client prior to the contract execution. Generally, one half of the quoted fee is due upon signing of the contract, with the balance due upon the delivery of the plan. In no case will we require pre-payment of more than $500 in fees per client and 6 or more months in advance.

The client may terminate the relationship at any time by providing written notice of termination. If the client terminates the contract within five business days after signing the contract, the client will receive a full refund. If the client terminates the contract anytime after the first five business days, we will refund all monies paid by the client less an hourly charge for the work performed up to the date we received notice of the termination.

Methods of Compensation
There are several methods of compensation:
Fee-only: The planner is compensated entirely from fees for purposes of consultation, plan development or investment management. These fees may be charged on an hourly or project basis depending on your needs, or on a percentage of assets under management.

Commission-only: There is no charge for the planner's advice or preparation of a financial plan. Compensation is received solely from the sale of financial products you agree to purchase in order to implement financial planning recommendations.

Combination Fee/Commission: A fee is charged for consultation, advice, and financial plan preparation on an hourly, project, or percentage basis. In addition, the planner may receive commissions from the sale of recommended products used to implement your plan.

Fee-offset: Commissions from the sale of financial products are offset against fees charged by the financial planning process.

Hourly Fees and Examples of Project-Based Fees
The Consulting Fee is $150 an hour. On the first interview the first hour is at no charge. The fee begins when a commitment is made to work together or at the second hour.

Special Notation:
* All fees are approximate and are quoted after initial meeting. Quotes are based on time and resources involved. An investment advisory agreement is required at the end of the first meeting. The client may have a full refund with no further commitment if written notice is received in my office by the fifth day after receiving the Form ADV Part II.
